We have modern, state of the art facilities at Gartholwg and the Centre is open at the following times:

Below is a list of the things available at the Centre:
Cyber Café
We have twenty four modern computers which are available to use completely free of charge. To use the computers you must first register unless you are already a member of the Rhondda Cynon Taf library service in which case you can use the same username and password to access our machines.
We have the following hardware and software available:
CD writers,
DVD reading software, Microsoft Office 2003 (in English and Welsh),
Internet Explorer.
Our computers are linked to two laser printers, one of
which is a colour printer.
Printing consumables need to be paid for – 10p per sheet for black and white
copies; 50p per sheet for colour copies.
CD's and USB's can be brought in by customers and we also hope to sell USB flash drives in the future.
Café Blas
For the true connoisseur of fresh ground coffee, Café Blas provides a warm welcome to all. Specialists in Welsh local produce and actively supporting Fair Trade the Café offers an ambience in which to eat, chill, chat or work using one of our many computers.

Opening hours for the cafe are as follows:
Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 8:00pm (Term time)
Friday 9:30am - 3:00pm
Theatre
The theatre has:
A 100-150 audience capacity
Overhead projector and screen
facilities (DVD, VHS and PowerPoint)
Moveable staging
Lighting and sound
equipment
Grand Piano.
ICT Suite
The IT suite at Garthowlg has twenty four brand new computers in a modern teaching room with overhead projector.
Each computer has the following software available to use: Microsoft Office 2003, Internet Explorer, Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Recording Studio
The recording studio consists of a control room and a performing room. We have the following equipment:
Apple Mac G5 computer
Pro Tools software
Digi 002 Rack
Mackie 24.8 Bus Mixing desk
Alesis 3630 Compressor
Tascam CD, MD and cassette players
Alesis Midi Verb
A variety of microphones and other accessories.
Sports Hall
The Centre has a modern equipped sports hall available for hire as well as the facilities below.
Other facilities
Classrooms, conference and training sessions, weddings, banquets, floodlit all weather pitch, football pitches, tennis courts, netball courts, fitness suite, drama studio, concerts, fashion shows, children's parties, function room with bar, youth centre and photographic darkroom.

Here is a list of costs to hire rooms/facilities from the Centre. Prices correct at time of publishing.
